Another group requiring no introduction to Leek Arts Festival fans – this year sees the band at its largest ever – a full 21 piece big band. This year’s performance features the fabulous soloist Alex Clarke – a rising star on the jazz scene and currently a student at the Birmingham Conservatoire.
The band’s performance will feature a traditional big band repertoire, including works from the library of Count Basie, Ellington, Goodman and more.
Once again the band features the vocalist Molly Rider who will recreate some classics from Ella Fitzgerald’s songbook, together with pieces made famous by Ray Charles, Imelda May, Beverley Knight and Amy Winehouse.
A must see performance, as this year sees the departure of some of the band’s senior players.
