Peak District Big Band
Peak District Youth Orchestra perform a mix of big band and modern pop tunes.

This swinging big band require no introduction to Leek Arts Festival fans – and the players can’t wait to be able to perform in Leek again.

This year’s repertoire is a real mixture. Some pieces recreate the classic big band sounds of Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Quincy Jones, Chuck Mangione and Ted Heath.

The band’s performance will also include songs made famous by an eclectic mix of artists including Otis Redding, Ray Charles, Michael Bublé, George Benson, Bette Midler and Paolo Nutini
